The horror-parody subgenre has strangely become one of the stalwarts of modern Hollywood. The whole thing really took off with the original Scary Movie in 2000, and since then we have seen not only the release of four sequels, but also a whole new franchise: A Haunted House. The most recent installment of that series arrives in theaters later this month, and today we have an exclusive TV spot for the film as it heads towards release

Directed by Michael Tiddes, who also helmed the first movie, A Haunted House 2picks up with Malcolm Johnson (Marlon Wayans) as he tries to move on after exorcising his ex-girlfriend’s demons. He finds a way to move on when he meets Megan (Jaime Pressly), a single mother of two, but things start to get terrible and scary once again when they move into a beautiful house and a bunch of paranormal events begin to occur around the children. The comedic ensemble cast includes Gabriel Iglesias, Ashley Rickards, Steele Stebbins, Essence Atkins, Affion Crocket, Dave Sheridan, Hayes MacArthur, Missi Pyle and Cedric The Entertainer.
